About John J. Palmeri

Attorney Palmeri was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1979 by Brooklyn College, City University of New York, Brooklyn, New York; a Juris Doctor degree in 1984 by Brooklyn Law School, Brooklyn, New York; and a Masters of Law in Taxation in 1987 by the Quinnipiac University Graduate School of Law, Bridgeport, Connecticut. He is a Certified Public Accountant and was formerly a Senior Tax Manager with the international accounting firm of Ernst & Young.

Attorney Palmeri is a Past President of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants and is currently serving as a member of the Tax Section Executive Committee of the Connecticut Bar Association, as a member of the Trust, Estate and Gift Taxation Committee of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants and as a member of the Section of Taxation of the American Bar Association. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Connecticut Bar Association and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Attorney Palmeri is a former member of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants' Board of Governors, as well as past chair of its Trust, Estate and Gift Taxation Committee, and Federal Tax Division Steering Committee.

In addition to his law office in Cheshire, Connecticut. Attorney Palmeri also serves as Special Tax Counsel to the Law Firm of Secor, Cassidy & McPartland, P.C. with offices in Waterbury, Southbury and Watertown, Connecticut.
